Do You Make A Conscious Effort To Present
"Your Best Self" Every Day? 🤔
Do You Make A Conscious Effort To Present
"Your Best Self" Every Day? 🤔

Just the act of "living life" can sometimes consume so much energy that making a conscious effort to present our best self on a DAILY BASIS does not even enter into our thought process... and then wonder why we are misunderstood or unfairly criticized. We overlook the fact that how we present ourself contributes to those negative reactions. While stress, frustration, fatigue, overwhelm, finances, and unresolved issues often shape how we show up, we should never use any one of them as an excuse for our shortcomings. We are the common denominator in every situation we find ourself in, and therefore have the power to change anything we don’t like.
With that said, I suspect most people's response to the question asked in the title would be "No, I'm too busy focusing on getting through the day." And that would be an understandable response. However, it is important to periodically (preferably daily) ask yourself a few basic questions, especially if you are encountering problems with the people you interact with. Basic questions like... "Is my delivery in sync with my intent; are my words providing clarity or confusion; is my tone or body language sending the wrong signals?" Paying attention to just these basic questions can help squash potential misunderstandings and unfair criticism.
But, like everything in life, making a conscious effort to present "your best self" on a daily basis, is a choice. You don't have to follow any suggestions you do not resonate with nor do you have to change anything about your delivery if you are okay with it regardless of the perception of others. The good news is, there are many different ways to make improvements to ensure you are presenting the best version of yourself daily, and some of those ways are actually fun (check out the image banner below). Which leads to my final question and overall conclusion...

Carving Out A Little "Personal Time" On A Regular Basis Is A Great Way To Reduce Stress & Maintain Balance In Your Life! Read Eleanor's Story...
Eleanor’s Revolutionary Breakthrough
Eleanor glanced at her reflection in the office window, tension etching lines across her forehead. At 53, she’d built a thriving career in Sales & Marketing, but her proudest achievements felt overshadowed by sleepless nights, tight deadlines, and a constant hum of anxiety.
One crisp Monday night, after another evening spent glued to her laptop preparing a presentation for the following day, Eleanor declared a small rebellion: I'm going to give myself 20 minutes of “me time” each morning to start my day with tranquility and clarity. Before going to bed, she set her alarm 20 minutes earlier than the usual time. In the morning she woke up, brewed her tea, and sank into the armchair by her bedroom window. With a notebook in hand, she wrote whatever sprang to mind—dream fragments, gratitude lists, or just simply taking a few deep breaths with her head slightly tilted back and her eyes lightly closed. Prior to taking control of her breathing, her mind was racing faster than two copulating rabbits. But by the end of week one, her thoughts settled down and flowed at a much slower pace.
Encouraged, Eleanor wove new rituals into her weekly routine. Every Thursday evening, she traded her high heels for walking shoes and explored the riverside trail, listening to birdsong instead of email pings. Once a month, she treated herself to an art class, laughing over thumb-smeared canvases and rediscovering her childhood love of color.
Within two months, coworkers remarked on her radiant calm. Stress no longer lurked behind her smile; it had vanished into the pages of her journal and the rhythm of her footsteps. Creative ideas flowed more freely in meetings. Home felt warmer—Eleanor laughed with her husband more, played with her grandson without constantly checking her phone, and slept through the entire night - well, almost the entire night.
Eleanor’s transformation wasn’t instant, but it proved that tiny pockets of self-care can reshape your life. Now, her mornings begin with tea, her weeks with walks, and her months with art—simple acts that have rekindled her peace, passion and clarity.
We hope you at least feel a tinge of encouragement by Eleanor's story. But more importantly, we hope you were able to capture the moral of the story and ready to prioritize your own mental & emotional wellbeing. Don't stay stuck in a habitual cycle of "self neglect" by constantly putting everyone and everything before yourself. No one should love you more than you love yourself! Take action, if action is needed. If time is the problem, start with 15-20 minutes a day to focus only on you, or even 1 hour a week and increase it whenever you can. Devaluing your worth by making excuses to neglect yourself will prevent you from experiencing the optimal calmness, inner peace, mental clarity and self appreciation you deserve. If this story does not apply to you, encourage someone you know that it does apply to. Be inspired or be the inspiration, you choose. Remember ladies, it's okay to say "no" sometimes, and don't be afraid to use it as a complete sentence!
